Review of the Child Support Guideline
Under Family Code section 4054, the Judicial Council is required to review the statewide uniform child support guideline every four years and make any recommendations to the Legislature for appropriate revisions. Additionally, federal regulations (45 C.F.R. ยง 302.56) require each state to review its guideline at least once every four years to ensure the guideline results in the determination of appropriate child support award amounts.
